Life Time Commitment Day invites people to get into fitness and raise money for Make-A-Wish

That time is coming up again: the new year. And with the new year and a new decade coming up, there’s also the New Year’s resolution for those who want to commit to a particular action. For many a New Year’s resolution will involve in exercising more often and getting in better shape. Speaking of commitment there’s actually an event just for that coming up. This is Life Time Foundation’s 2020 Commitment Day Celebration.

However, the event takes place over a period of several days, starting on December 28th and ending on January 5th. If you’re looking to commit to fitness for the next year, this event will involve exercise-related activities for everyone.
Locally, Life Time Fitness in Vestavia Hills will have Commitment Day 5K on January 1st at 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Anybody can take part in any way that they want. They can run, walk or jog for the event. Those interested in taking part of that can register online. Tickets to the event will include a race bib, medal and post-run brunch social.

On December 31st, the Vestavia Location will also host a New Year’s Party for kids, which will have healthy snacks and children’s activities. But this isn’t just a fitness event. It’s also a charitable one too. Life Time Foundation is raising money through ticket sales to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. This is a pretty recognized foundation but for those not in the know, Make-A-Wish is a charitable organization that helps children facing serious illnesses.

Additionally, Life Time is also making efforts to try and get artificial and processed ingredients removed from school food. The foundation partners with schools to introduce healthier and more nutritious food for students.
